I shoot a big caliber; but not that big.  8)  I asked Mernickle to change the cartridge slides to shotgun slides, as I carry a cartridge box on the belt.

Thank you Captain.  I have never owned anything shorter than 7 1/2.  Just my personal preference.  I like to say it's the Marshal Dillon in me that likes the long barrels.  Plus, as you say, it is the correct length for a military impression.  These are the Pietta made Cimarron 7th Cav revolvers.  Hard to see the cartouche with my phone camera.

Very nice rig. Who made the Dyer pouch? Do you know who made the escutcheons on it?
Ride to the sound of the guns, but watch out for bushwhackers! Godspeed to all in harm's way in the defense of Freedom! God Bless America!

Your obedient servant,
Trailrider,

I purchased it from Fort Laramie Frontier Trading Post.  It's the same place I got my frock coat.  They have an ebay store and offer good prices.

You killed Matt Dillon and Jack Paladin and stole their guns....and made a set out of them ;)  Enjoy.  And I like the buckshot holders too!
