A friend called earlier and asked if I wanted to go to his hideout in the woods and turn some powder into smoke.  Knowing that a change in weather was moving rapidly our way I figure I better take advantage of our last few hours of spring like weather.  Though I did have a new pocket .380 I wanted to run some hard ball through, this was to mainly be a test for the Avenging Angels I purchased before Christmas.

The guns break down quickly into the three main components  without tools so I decided to use my old ramming press to load these short barl '60s and this plan worked like a charm.  When capped with Remington #10 caps the guns performed flawlessly with the Manhattan units keeping all fouling out of the works.  A couple of cylinders full were tried with CCI #10 caps but these could only be described as disasters, most caps requiring two goes to get an ignition.  If there were one thing I wish had not been done to this pair it would be the filling in of the hammer safety notches.  I would guess that with the cap protectors added it would not have needed the notch filled.  My friend and I had a great day and turned in a few nice groups, surprisingly, even with the snubby guns. With the dark clouds rapidly rolling in we were literally locking the last cattle gate when the cold rain started pecking at the windshield.  I do not know who originally built this pair of home grown Uberti Angels but I certainly do like them and will plan to use them at our next local match.

I purchased the pair used, in December, and saved the listing photos used by the seller.  I listed them on another CAS Topic Forum, check about four topics down on this link.   http://www.cascity.com/forumhall/index.php/topic,46686.0.html  I will say that the guns are so slick that I actually regret not being fast!
