Hopefully someone out there got a new henry for christmas! I kind of hinted around that i'd like another one, but after a thourgh search under the xmas tree i finally gave up looking after 5 or 6 hours and just asked where is it, she just laughed and said you already got one, nobody needs two. I guess next year i'll just try a different aproach and ask for a yellowboy and see how that goes. Merry christmas everyone!

You can tell her that I have two.  A steel frame one for shooting live and a brass frame one for blanks.  But I have to admit I have been thinking about selling one of them, I just can't make up my mind as to which one!

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a handsome, and well preserved body; but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out and loudly proclaiming...."WOW!... What a ride!"

Yep ...but not this Christmas, it was Christmas "99''...

I recall my FFL got me to drop by on the pretense to authenticate a CW artifact,
I can't even remember what that was.
He show me the Military Model he had in the Glass case, he just got it in.
When he handed it to me He said " it was mine" !
I suppose I had a "deer in the headlights" look, there were several CW pards there at the time.
The Store was much like a " around the cracker barrel " draw to all the Reenactors in the area most of the time.

Anyway, My dear wife had been in cahoots with the Owner, and had purchased the Henry for me.
( I had sold my 1st. Henry in 1988 to help pay for the birth of my Daughter )
She decided it was time to replace it.... ;D

I've since added an Iron Frame ...
and later found my old Henry lounging away unused in the back of the fellow's safe that bought it.
I bought it back a couple years ago, 22 years later.....

Tell her this story, and you can't have too many HENRY's
when planets align...do the deal !

well thanks for the help guys after she reads some of these posts i shouldn't have any problem adding a new henry to my gun collection even before next xmas. Ive got a birthday comming up , i'll keep you posted. Now lets see i've already got one in a .45 colt so a .44-40 should be next.

Slowhand Bob

I have been wanting a brass framed one in 45 for a long time to put a short carrier in.  I even purchased the carrier some time back for the job, but now??  I have pretty much put things on stand by to watch the situation on the C45S brass..  In the mean time I will just play with my older color cased/blue model in 44/40.

yea Slowhand, i guess i'll wait on buying .44-40 dies and a bunch of brass untill i have the new henry in my hands. As you said i'll be really content to shoot my .45 colt. Shooting this winter is going to be tougher this year, if we keep getting dumped on with snow. We've got about 25" in the last 4 days here in upstate NY. The last couple years we have had good shooting thoughout the winter months.
