Was that the kit version?  Either way, VERY nice B-Dave!

I don't know for sure if it was a kit somebody put together, or if it was factory assembled, but it's in nice shape!

Fired it this weekend. Helluva lotta fun, but with no sights, not much of a target pistol, lol!

I have a CVA "Kentucky Pistol" that I built from a kit about 30 years ago.  Fun gun to shoot. It looks a lot like your Tower gun. Thee lock, trigger, trigger guard appear identical. The stock is similar but the butt is different to accommodate the cap.

I believe the barrels started life identically. Mine is a full length hex. It looks like they took some of their hex barrels and turned the front two thirds round to get the Tower gun round barrel profile.

For what it's worth, the Kentucky Pistol version has a dovetailed front and rear sight.   I am not sure if you could do the same to yours, at least on the front.  A soldered on front sight would be my first choice with the round profile front.

I forget what I used for a charge in mine, but I remember using a 45 ACP case for a powder measure. I am pretty sure I would have used 2F in it.  I recall shooting mostly conical bullets out of it. The only conical mold anywhere near 45 caliber that I had back then would have been a Ruger Old Army conical mold, so I am pretty sure that is what I would have shot out of it. It shot quite well as I recall.

One thing that did eventually happen was that however the stock was attached to the barrel (screws I believe? - a long time ago), they eventually worked loose/stripped/something  and the barrel started pulling out. I would up dovetailing the underside of the barrel and installing a makeshift barrel lug.  There is a pin (probably a nail) that goes thru the stock and the lug to hold the barrel in place. It stayed put after that.
