I have a question regarding a 1988 Uberti '73 Sporting Rifle. It has 2 screws on the frame assembly just above the trigger guard screw on the left side. What are these for? My other Uberti '73s do not have them.

Sounds like filler screws in place of a saddle ring. I've seen 'em on original Winchesters but not a Uberti. Like someone used a carbine frame to build a rifle.

Howdy

Ya mean like this?

Mine was made sometime in the 1980s, don't remember exactly when right now. Sorry, I have never figured out what the extra screws were for.
That's bad business! How long do you think I'd stay in operation if it cost me money every time I pulled a job? If he'd pay me that much to stop robbing him, I'd stop robbing him.

Ya probably inherited every penny ya got!

Exactly like that Driftwood. I don't think mine had been shot when I got it a few months ago. After a couple of mods it has been. Its in 44/40. WM
