Slowhand Bob

Guys, I stayed in the shop a bit late today working on a couple of projects and here is one that is almost finished, wet fitted and needs final coats and buffing.  Though pretty simple and straight forward it turned out to be a prettier pattern than I though it would be.  I just might bling up a set after the holidays, I think it would work on a pair of these.  This is done with 6/7 over a 6/7 liner and machine sews like a dream.  When it finishes drying I will also add a bleeder knot style hammer safety, similar to what Will used on his 'HAND OF GOD' holster.  HMMM, what else, 4 5/8" barl x-draw, contrasting white thread and could easily handle the Colt as shown, the OMRV and even the '60 Colt wasnt to bad a fit.  My Remingtons were downstairs so did not get to try one of those.  Forgot to bring the patterns in but will try to post later.  Sorry for the dark photos but I think you can get the basic idea.

Looks good, pard. Nice, simple design. Leaves the shape as the appeal. Nice job.

Print out as actual size and from there it is pretty straight forward, using two layers of 6/7oz and no main-seam filler.  Look closely and you can find the connector marks fer joining with the skirt.  I think the x-draw cant was 20deg+ a tad.

It actually turned out more B-Westerny (is that a word?) than I would have thought and I think it cries out for some bling.  I would love to see some of you guys  dress one of these up for show, they are really quick and easy.  As you can see, the cut of the throat is actually somewhat conducive to a quick draw when hard molded, making this attractive to the SASS shooters who do B-Western.  I will try to do a photo with its strong side mate and add that pattern here also.  The strong side holster is actually a slightly different pattern but works perfectly with this one.  If you guys do bling up this pattern and post pictures under a single link I will try to direct potential customers to it.  OH, two of the strong side holsters, right and left, would make into a great B-Western Buscadero.
