Just for grins. I thought is share an experience from two years ago.  One of my customers said he had a pair of "lousy weather" pistols he just bought on the cheap.  The needed some work however and woul I go thru them.  Sure said I (oops)

ASM frame and cylinder, Uberti barrels, Pietta ejector housings and I never figured out who made grip frames for sure 'cause the trigger guard and back strap were different brass alloys.  The lock works were shot.  Rebuilt with Pietta hammers and hands, ASM bolts OK Nd Uberti triggers.  All aftermarket springs.  And ..... TA DA ..... Now main match guns.  Nothing is completely impossible, but, don't try this at home. 8)

They're sort of like Harleys. When thy break you can pick up any old nut or bolt off the stree and it will fit. In Russia we call this "gost standart" it means  "state standard".
I will no longer respond to the rants of the small minded that want to sling mud rather than discuss in an adult manner.

Prairie Dawg and I did some swapping a couple years back on parts and pieces and I ended up with a Uberti Navy with an Open Top barrel and nickel birdshead with white corian grips. Pimpy...

This is pretty normal (although maybe not to that extent) here. I frequently get sent the pistol that parts aren't available for (like the ASM conversions) and have to mod a Pietta or Uberti part to fit.....
