I just came across this while doing some research and thought it to be worth passing along.

In 1933 American Airways had an unofficial motto or slogan that we need to resurrect and use today:  "Step ahead or step aside."

I don't consider stepping aside to be a viable option.

BTW, the population of the US in 1933 was about 100,000,000, less than a third what it is today.

My view has become fatalistic, and I fear I must change from "positive, optimistic, proactive" to
"job survival to ensure continued employment"

My day job has ... deteriorated.
Our Corporate Feerless Leaders, Those Who Know It All, have discarded all the hard lessons learned  over the  last 25 years
and are repeating the same mistakes we had resolved in the past. And repeating, and repeating and repeating....
to the detriment of Those Who Actually Work.

Unfortunately If you're not the lead dog, the view never changes :-(

I am considering a career change. If I become a proctologist, I only have to deal with
one a**hole at a time
