I get back from a shoot in Colorado and discover my No Topic thread has been removed from the Longbranch Board and placed on the Misc. board.  What's the story on this?

Rather than indignantly asking the memebership at large - who have no ability to move a post - why not try asking one of the Moderators via a PM?

The No Topic thread got out of hand with some inappropriate material. I moved it and the inappropriate item was deleted. I was disappointed that the posters on that thread had not reported it sooner.

Howdy Rap,

Some additional info. The No Topic thread would be moved this week despite of the reason explained by Rio.

We have more traffic on the forum now since TFS is down and we need to reorganize the Longbranch a little. I am not talking about anything dramatic, but threads that become too long are tough on the server when it is placed on the Longbranch (the most visited board). Could be the next upgrade of the software will take care of that, but we have to do something now and we are still working on it.

Most important, a moved thread is not the same as a deleted thread.

The No topic thread can be as much alive on Misc as anywhere else, since active members there receive notification through email.

Other threads that become long in the Longbranch will eventually be moved to other boards also, so this is not a special treatment or punishment for Rap & Co. Everyone is important in Cas City.

Keep having fun, pard.

He did ask.. via a PM..
I talked with him and suggested that he post and ask the moderaters in an open post on the Longbranch. That way, all those that are concerned or wondered, would have the answer also.

I fail to understand this.  You move my thread over to another board and allow the card game thread to continue on the Longbranch board?  Now don't get the wrong idea here.  I think the card game thread is neat and interesting and definitely a keeper! I understand that CAS topics should be discussed on the Longbranch board, but I see no harm in having a couple of threads that don't concern CAS subjects there.  They break up the routine a little and make for some fun reading and posting without having to go over to another board.
As for Rawhide's post about something inappropriate posted on  my thread...I don't know who did that and I don't wanna know!  It's now gone and forgotten.
