Recently I picked up a remington c&b, and I've been wanting to put a conversion cylinder in it. I was wondering, which conversion works the best? I've heard nothing but good about both companies, so it's kind of hard to make a decision.

duecedaddy, I think this is a case of you pays your money and takes your chance.

If I was you I'd contact both companies and inquire about their conversion on your specific make and model of C&B revolver. They will probably give you the straight story.

I just got a pair of Kirst Konvertes for mine...I would say, they work quite well and are easy enough for you to do the fitting yourself.

i found I had a bent cylinder pin and had to straighten it out a bit. it happens.

If you have a Pietta, I would strongly recommend the Kirst.
(I say this knowing that R&D may or may not be able to "drop right in".)

If you have a Uberti, the choice is yours.

neither one is "bad". Both will require just a quick brush up of one or two parts. They both come with good instructions on what to do.

I have Ubertis. I've used the R&D conversions in them for quite a while. They operate flawlessly and make the guns tack-nailers. My wife is giving me a Kirst gated conversion for one of them so after Xmas I should be able to compare both types.
