Anyone know which A-zooms/Snap-caps would work in in a 1851 conversion cylinder (R&D)?

Thanks in advance!

The modern .38 Long Colt is just a shortened .38 Special.

Would the 38 Special be too long for the cylinders and, if so, could I "sand" off the fronts to nake them fit?

The Azooms might be a little long as they are made to look like a loaded round.  They are solid aluminum, so yes you can cut them shorter.  The plastic ones with the spring loaded brass primer insert are usually flat nosed and short so they should fit with no problem.
