Had a shoot out again at the Y last night.  We got there quick but the shootin' was over and just the screamin' remained.  Casings showed .380 and .45 autos were exchanged in a crowd of about 75 folks.  Casings started 5 feet apart and from the looks of it the .380 dude was backtrackin fast.  Casualties...one Lincoln, one Nissan, one Hertz Rental that we know of so far.  May have been others for when I rolled in they were comin' outta there like a cowboy leavin' the wrong bedroom.  Thats right with all the rounds fired no "body" was hit.  One guy did get a new smile from the ear lobe to the tip of his chin, but that was done with a razor.  The driver of the Hertz was smilin' real big because she had gotten full coverage on it.

These guys are either real bad shots or really hate cars.

We will be staked out tonight for a retaliatory strike.

What was it I read somewhere about the "average" gunfight according to FBI statistics?  Was something like five shots fired at a distance of seven feet with one or fewer hits and in semi-lit conditions. 

Sounds like the shooters might be the ones "semi-lit" in this case but then again on the other hand if someone actually was shooting at me I probably would be more intent on getting the heck out of there than acquiring a correct sight picture, focusing on the front sight, etc. etc. etc.

My neighbor's ex had her boyfriend attempt to murder her husband.  He was asleep in bed and from around 5 feet was shot at 6 times with his back to the punk.  Got hit twice.  Glad it was a 22 and he was under a lot of covers.  It goes to show you that most of these punks just do not have a clue.  He got 33 years and she only got 13.  Go figure.

Well, so far no after shocks from the festivities.  We did find some more casings including additional 9mm casings with two different types of firing pin marks making shooter total to four and quite a few more rounds loosed.  Learned some additional info I can't post for this is ongoing. 

Dude that nearly got the "Bolivian Necktie" was released yesterday from the hospital and already on the corner again. New street name "Franky" due to the seam across his neck.
