Thank you for the suggestions. I have been reading the forum for years and have googled as much as possible for smokeless. I get some who have actually used a load and those who pass on what they have heard. I am going to try some IMR3031. I had used that in the past for the 45-70. It worked well. I just got a new Lyman #49, and it has some loads..  Would anyone try a slightly faster than H4831.  IMR3031 is much faster.  Just looking for some new data to try...

4895!

Before I repeated my earlier advice I thought I'd googlit!  This is the reloading site for Wolfe Publications, you know, RIFLE & HANDLOADER.  Requires login.

Tried the 4895 and it works nicely. Also now have some 48 - 50 gr Varget to try. The distance between rifle and grenade is closing rapidly. Film at 11:00.
