I ran across a Springfield Armory 1871 Spencer conversion for sale.  It is in real good condition and has a 4 digit serial number.  What would be the approximate price of one of these? I am half way interested in this and will probably proceed in buying it.  I would post pics but I do not have any at this time. thanks for any information.

Even though these conversions are the second rarest Spencer rifle variation they do not bring as much as a civil war rifle in the same condition. They are oftern found in very good condition as most would have been in storage untill they were sold a surplas in Europe around the tern of the 20th centry,Bannamans was a big buyer but they seem to found there way all round the world,if the price is reasnoble dont miss it
