Assuming you went to that GAF event, please contact me ASAP upon your return.

Fort Macleod has invited my wife and I to put on daily seminars over the Aug. 11th & 12th week end, the occasion of their "Heritage Days" and Quilt Show. My wife will do her Victorian clothing presentation, dressing a volunteer from the undies out. Just the ladies, guys, back down ....

Mine will be on firearms spanning two decades - 1851 to 1871, the year of BC entering Confederation. That is early for their NWMP interpretation, but they are fine with that. Your knowledge and guns of the NWMP/RCMP era will make us a perfect overlapping tag team.

This is a golden opportunity to acquaint people with their own history and the role that firearms played in forging the nation. They are even going to pay us an honorarium for our efforts!

Morning Hardtack

Is it going to be held at the tourist fort or, the real one on Hwy 3?  I'll be camping at Buffalo Plains campgrounds, near Head-Smashed-In during that time period to do some fishing on the Old Man River.

Cheers!

Rattlesnake Jack is probably enjoying breakfast prepared by Delmonico right about now, at Fort Pitspitr.

Sounds like an interesting event, some pics and a report in the "after actions" section would be appreciated!

Pitspitr

He's on his way home now. He left about noon local time today.

I did respond to your inquiry, but it disappeared into the ether .....

Our interpretation will be at the 'tourist' fort as opposed to the original site. Last time we were there, the original site was in a state of disrepair, being rebuilt on a gov't grant, I believe.

I still haven't heard from Grant by phone or email. Hope he's alright.
