No more $179.99 '58 Remington's from Cabela's

Well, the $179.99 sale on the Pietta Model 1858 New Army .44 Caliber Revolvers at Cabela's is over. Both the 5 1/2" and 8" versions have been repriced to a new sale price of $229.99. I have one on backorder to replace the '58 that blew up on me on New Year's Eve. The guns that were ordered, and are on backorder, will still have the $179.99 price, but new orders will be priced at the new $229.99 sale price. I think it's the first time I've seen something go on sale, with a price that is higher than the previous price.

I still have one on backorder too. I kind of wished I had ordered another while they were on sale.

Then I guess I should be very pleased indeed at the immaculate used (in fact, I am not sure it was ever fired) 2001 Pietta '58 Remington with EXTRA Cylinder ... *S*... for $150.00!

In a few moths, Cabela's will have them on sale for $179.99 again.

If they don't, I sure would appreciate a sale on .44 caliber 1860 Colts. I can wish for a sale on .44 caliber 3rd Model Colt Dragoons, but I don't think it will ever happen.

$239 down from $269 back order. Not sure if they still have the $20 off on over $150 if so its 205 off overall more or less.

I'll pass on it right now. I'm trying to figure out how to come up with the money for a Taylor's conversion cylinder to replace the one I blew to smithereens on New Years Eve. I have another 5 1/2" '58 that's supposed to ship out on the 30th. I'll tell ya, thumbing the hammer back for the first shot with that rig will have a pretty high pucker factor.

Try some Trial Boss. It's designed to help eliminate the pucker.

Just keep a eye on them, I picked up an 1860 back in October for $189.99 w/ free shipping. They seem to drop the prices a few months before Christmas, then jack them up right after. I am saving for my Kirst now
