93/97 bbl

picked up a 93/97 at the pawn shop today. 06xxxxxx ser number. i think it was from the last batch made. all the ones i have seen over the years with the 20" bbl was marked  cyl  for cylinder bore. the 20" bbl on this one is stamped M  did they make any 20inchers with a modified choke or is thi a miss-stamp.

i've never seen a 20"barel marked anything but cly is it possable that  some one shrotend the barrel at sometime in it's life ?that would be my guess as most short barrels were eather from riot or trench guns
