I'm glad it was over after awhile,i was in a real bad one when i worked for the county a few folks were killed in that one and the only thing that saved me was an irrigation pump over a tall cement cistern, turned it on and stuck my head under it till it was over,it created an air pocket so i could breath~ :-\We have four empty fields around our subdivison it's always dusty, but yesterday it got worse!

Pretty nasty stuff.    I see them signs up for the past several seasons . . in the fields that are not planted on account of no irrigation water available, . . . . "Congress Created Dust Bowl".   yep.
Beware the man with one gun, he probably knows how to use it.

Quit whinning. That's darned near three days per week in Lubbock, Texas in the summertime. I ought to know, I grew up there. I can remember riding my bike home from the swimming pool. It closed because of the thunder and lightning. The storm came over while I was riding home and Igot hailed on. I looked like I had the chicken pox. But of course the wind came up really fierce and the dust filled the air. You have no idea what a storm is unbtil youi get caught in a mud storm. All that dust mixed with rain and hail. It's not the place to be when you only have a swimming suit and a towel and your trying to pedal like the devil to get home.
I will no longer respond to the rants of the small minded that want to sling mud rather than discuss in an adult manner.

I lived in Crane, Texas for a year. Crane is about 30 miles south of Odessa. During the worst dust storm I was in I was sitting in a car and couldn't see the hood ornament. Luckily it didn't last to long.
Yes, I do have more facial hair now.
