....At 24" long it could have been made of a discarded Valease...

Looks shorter than the attributed one.

Hardware's wrong, too - the snap swivel that should be there - isn't.

Plus - if it were real, there'd be a helluva lot more interest - reflected in rising bidding.

I still think they are all so far post made solutions to carry the, as we know it, "civillian version" of the Henry rifle....

I'd agree, the first is very crude note the pounded rivets ( I venture it's even field made ) and a section of sturrup strap
probably not the work of a Saddler

The second sports the issue carbine sling swivel, reversed ( as we know the Henry had no saddle ring )
Assuming the plan was to attach this to D ring at the billet Rigging, the smaller saddle rings were just held by a forged staple.
I doubt seriously they would have held with heavy Henry.
when planets align...do the deal !
