Rick, I have seen several and own one or two that meets your description.  I even have a 1911 fast draw rig that fits into the same puzzle and I think I posted pictures of this at one time?  I personally do not know what these were about but do find their construction to be very good over all and on par with the best from that time frame.  Why no makers marks is a total puzzle also.  I have wondered if a young JB, EH or other young guy just starting out was doing some of these and leaving the tracking info off as litigation protection???  I will also note that most were done in black.  Good luck and let me know if you ever learn anything else on these mystery rigs.

Yep the one i been lookin at is black, and the one i have has the Paladin horse on it,but i think that one is a copy.It has tooling on the belt but it's machined.

Cowboy fast draw was a lot of fun back then and still is today, just ask Wes Flowers, Wes was a big contender during that time, and went on to just a few years ago, I'm not sure if he still competes or not, but Wes was always fun to watch, and very quick.

I throw my vote in for "Cowboy Fast Draw" is a lot of fun even today.  One of the two clubs I shoot with actually began back in the day.  There are 3 old guys that competed at the Sahara competitions in 1960 and all three have been world fast draw champions.  It is amazing that folks in their 70's can still react and shoot in the 0.300's.

I understand it's a sport where after getting good at it you never lose your reaction time,it stays with you. :)
