Anyone using the reclaimed shot offerings from Badman Bullets or Rotometals? Badman claims theirs is mixed size 6, 71/2 and 8 how much of a deal would a small amount of #6 be? Rotometals claims a 7 1/2 and 8 mix.
If this is a no go anyone have a good source for legal lead shot that won't break the bank?

I use the reclaimed shot from Rotometals. Works fine with Clays or black sub. Knockdowns always go down when I do my part.

I order from Badman Bullets and have noticed no ill effects from using their reclaimed shot.

Course I am shooting them in full power Black powder loads in 10 and 12 gauge guns!:)

I haven't dealt with Rotometals, but on the question of using reclaimed lead shot for CAS, I've been doing it ever since I found a local source.

Reclaimed lead shot comes up on the local want ads website every so often and it's generally around $1/lb. So, it sure beats $45 for 25lbs at the local Sportsmen's Warehouse.

It's definitely not as round as new shot, but for knockdowns it works just fine. If I were shooting clays with it, I'd probably sing a different tune.

FWIW - I shoot Brass 12's loaded with real BP + veg wads, while I load plastic 20's with International + plastic wads for my Buckaroo. Works equally well in both cases.
