Hello!
I've got an old three screw Super Blackhawk that I'd like to fit with a regular Blackhawk grip frame.  Does anyone know if it would fit?  How much modification would a New Model grip frame take to make it work?  Thanks!

If it's an old three screw it will work.  The new ones have the same screw pattern but the frame is different behind the trigger.  The new ones use a spring that fits over a pin and two legs that hook on a pin in the frame.  The old ones used a plunger with a spring in the frame behind the trigger.

I'm feeling a bit obtuse this morning.  So you're saying a New Model grip frame will work on my 3 screw Super Blackhawk?  The trigger opening is wider in the new ones, so will that be wide enough for the wider SBH trigger?  Thanks!

It will physically screw on.  However, it won't work as your three screw has a plunger and spring that fits behind the trigger and pushes the trigger forward.  The new model grip frames are entirely different in the area behind the trigger.  You would have to weld up the grip frame and drill the hole for the plunger and spring.

Thank you!  That's the information I needed!
