This month's TSRA's "Sportsman" magazine has a very nice write-up about GAF.  Nice pictures were included.

Cowtown Scout did your organization a great service with this exposure.

I have not received my issue, but I look forward to reading the article and viewing the pictures. I purchased a TSRA license plate for my GMC pickup and a Masonic one for my Chevy pickup.

OK let me give you a little backgroud on this.  When I was president of the Texas State Rifle Association I had a one page article for each edition of the magazine which was published every 2 months.  After the first issue of my presidency I started changing the photograph each issue to one of me wearing a differnt victorian military uniform with a small portion of the article telling something about the uniform.

In march of last year I became a past president but was asked to keep doing an article for each issue so I changed the name to Scout's Corner and the topic was more in depth descriptions of the uniforms and related gear and firearms that go with the uniforms.  I also did an article on our venture crew's trip and participation in the 150th Battle of Wilson's Creek with some Civil War information.

The article I submitted in December for the January Issue was abut GAF with photos from the 2011 Grand Muster, however due to space constraints it was cut from that issue.  So the March/April issue that is just coming out has that article.  I combined information from several sources already in the barracks and added some to let the readers know about GAF.  This magazine goes out to all members of the Texas State Rifle Association which throughout the year can vary from 38,000 to 34,000 and TSRA has members that reside outside of the state.  I've scanned the front cover and my article and will try and attach them here both as a .jpg and a .pdf so that others can see the article.  Hope you approve.  ;D
