Hi all.

Just reposting these links form another shooting forum I frequent.  I'm forever amazed at the quality of the photographs from the 1800's.

Oh yes, and FYI, there are some fairly graphic photos.

Trailrider

Ya know, the Fightin' 69th is still around...sorta.  They were part of the 42nd Infantry Rainbow Division in WWII, and have fought in Iraq. Godspeed to them all!
Ride to the sound of the guns, but watch out for bushwhackers! Godspeed to all in harm's way in the defense of Freedom! God Bless America!

Your obedient servant,
Trailrider,
Bvt. Lt. Col. Commanding,
Southern District
Dept. of the Platte, GAF
