National Cavalry Competition 2012

The dates and location have been set for the National Cavalry Competition for 2012.

Location: Ft. Riley, KS

Dates: 19-22 SEP 2012

The information currently displayed is for the 2011 Event but there is still a wealth of information on the various events, rules, etc. New information will be posted shortly.

This year we expect ALL the Army mounted ceremonial units to be there, as well as the Marine Corps Mounted Color Guard from Barstow (OOOO-RAH!!!!!!! ).

We also have a number of re-enactor units from various periods from the War of 1812 through the Mexican and Civil War eras through the Spanish American era to the end of the horse cavalry in 1948. There are even a few guys who represent the Mounted Constabulary that functioned in Germany from 1945-1954.

Independants are also welcome. Pretty much any period of history may be portrayed save for Nazi Germany.

This is a good time, a good competition, and an excellent learning experience for horse and rider. Get your red shoes on and join us in Kansas!!!!!
