We got about 5 winery's within 10 miles of us,  we go down ever little bit and go to their sample room and sample pretty often.

when we first moved here,  a guy came around running for the school board, after he got done campaigning, he asked if we wanted to taste his homemade wine, we knew his daughter, she had been over to our house with our daughter several times so we said Sure.  well he had it chilled in an ice box in the back of the pickup so we got a glass and he pured us agreat big glass of it.  Man you talk about good, and it would knock you on your but in a heartbeat.  Since then we've had a lot of the homemade and it is some good stuff,  we even made about 10 gallons of it one year from blackberries
We done it for Dixie,  nothing else

I sure do miss Hoyt, no Trinity Three Dog Night did not write the song, Hoyt did, Hoyt Axton. ;)  His mama wrote "Heartbreak Hotel."

She made enough money her own self that she didn't have to drink no cheap wine.  Do you leave that Naked Mountian wine with the bottle still in the paper sack. ::)  Used to buy a bottle of cheap white port once in a while just to drink that way.

Del, Hoyt also produced 3 dog night............He was a neighborhood celebarity in the "Bitterroot" I believe my mother in law has his picture of him sittin' on a Harley in her kitchen.  He was wheelchair bound in the final couple of years.  Folks liked or hated him out there. He was very charitable.>>>Get a copy of movie "Disorganized Crime" he was the sherriff.

I knew that, was just tryin' to drive Trinity crazy.  Not only did he write most the songs for 3DN, don't ferget Steppenwolf.  Course I liked his singin' even better, I got "Snow Blind Friend" by him, but this is a favorite.
It was Della and the Dealer and a dog named Jake
And a cat named Kalamazoo.
Left the city in a pick up truck,
Gonna make some dreams come true.

Yea,they rolled out west where the wild sun sets
And the coyote bays at the moon.
Della and the Dealer and a dog named Jake
and a cat named Kalamazoo

Chorus:
If that cat could talk what tales he'd tell
About Della and the Dealer and the dog
as well
But the cat was cool, and he never said a mumblin word.

Down Tucson way there's a small cafe
Where they play a little cowboy tune.
And the guitar picker was a friend of mine
By the name of Randy Boone.

Yea, Randy played her a sweet love song
And Della got a fire in her eye
The Dealer had a knife and the dog had a gun
and the cat had a shot of Rye.

Repeat CHORUS
If that cat could talk what tales he'd tell
About Della and the Dealer and the dog
as well
But the cat was cool, and he never said a mumblin word.

Yea , the dealer was a killer,
He was evil and mean
And he was jealous of the fire in her eyes.

He snorted his coke through a century note
And swore that Boone would die.

The stage was set when the lights went out.
There was death in Tucson town.
Two shadows ran for the bar back door
And one stayed on the ground

Repeat CHORUS
If that cat could talk what tales he'd tell
About Della and the Dealer and the dog
as well
But the cat was cool, and he never said a mumblin word.

Two shadows ran from the bar that night
And dog and cat ran too.
And the tires got hot on the pick up truck
As down the road they flew.

It was Della and her lover and a dog named Jake
And a cat named Kalamazoo.
Left Tucson in a pick-up truck
Gonna make some dreams come true.

CHORUS
If that cat could talk what tales he'd tell
About Della and the Dealer and the dog
as well
But the cat was cool, and he never said a mumblin word.
