Anyone have any idea how USFA's Shot Pistol is doing on the market?  Just curious.

Have any actually reached the market?

Marshal Deadwood

I guess I wouldn't have the money for a 'side' revolver ,,,but I'd sure like to have one anyways.

They must have shipped some.  www.tenring.com has one on his website

Sounds awful.  No loading gate.  Point the gun uphill and the ammo falls out.  Don't think they will sell many of these.

Another fine idea from the creative minds working overtime at USFA

Once again it would seem that all mention of the shot pistol has disappeared from the USFA web site.  Going to the designated web site, shotpistol.com, automatically sends you to the USFA web site.   Articles on the web with links to specific shotpistol.com web pages come up as being no longer valid/available.
On another post here, someone quoted Gary Granger as saying that they were currently re-tooling the SAA line at USFA.  Do we attribute USFA's recent inability to deliver SAA's in a timely manner to the dedication of their CNC machines to shot pistol production?  Now that the shot pistol project appears to be dead, will SAA production at USFA get back on an even keel?  I, for one, certainly hope so!
I recently obtained a 1912 Colt Bisley and would love to have USFA make me a companion gun with matching serial number.  Should that ever happen I would get a presentation case from Bill Shumate at billscases.com.  I think that would look pretty neat.  Old Colt and a new USFA.

Capt - the re-tooling quote was brought to the attention of this board by me. Someone misread it and thought it was a statement by Gary Granger. In fact, the person who asked the question was named Gary. The answer was prefaced in the same manner as this reply to you. I imagine it was Gary Granger who wrote it, though. Who else would? Nobody really believes Doug Donnelly answers those questions, do they? The real question is, what does their statement mean. Re-tooling? Re-tooling for what? And, why? Sounds like BS to me. The reason I say that is, there is no reason USFA wouldn't make a clear statement about it, were it actually the case. Not that I can see anyway.

I say a definite NO to the notion U.S. Firearms will get back on an even keel. There is almost no evidence it will. The evidence is, they are producing few, if any, guns, at all. What the dealers are saying is most likely true. Doug Donnelly foolishly fired the majority of his employees, and USFA is now being manned by a skeleton crew. Fans of USFA revolvers need to face the obvious truth: the USFA we knew, and loved, is on life support, and Doug Donnelly seems not to give a sh*t. Why do you think Alex Hamilton has bought nearly 100 of the CDNN Turnbull guns? It's because he isn't confident USFA will continue.
