How about some photos of some "1911 Leather"?

While I'm not a "Wild Bunch" shooter - I do enjoy seeing "1911 Leather".  I sold my Colt 1911-A1 as it was too pristine to shoot.  I am however thinking about getting one of the Colt 1911-22 or Sig/GSG 1911-22 as I did enjoy the feel of my 1911-A1.  Could some of you post some photos of your 1911 style holsters and leather?  I know everyone would enjoy them and I'd like to see some "Western style" 1911 leather for ideas.  I haven't had a chance to get a set of Will's patterns yet but it is on my "must have" list the next time I get to the store.  Thanks!   :)

Do a search here on wild bunch and also 1911, there is a lot of work here.  And even some patterns by Slowhand Bob.  The 1911 forum out there has a lot of threads on vintage leather.

Wow!  Those are all beautiful holsters and very inspiring!  Thanks very much for posting the photos - greatly appreciated pards!   :)

I did go over on the Wild Bunch forum and took a look at the thread where they were posting photos of their gear.  Some very nice looking things!  I've been looking for either a Colt or a Sig/GSG 1911-22 where I'm at here for the winter.  Hopefully I'm going to be able to find one soon as I want to make some leather for it before I go back to MI for the summer.  I'm probably never going to participate in WB but it sure is fascinating as to what those boys come up with!  Thanks again!

This is a Western 1911 pattern I've been working on. It's a Mexican loop style with the trigger guard covered. A lot of places out here that allow holsters require the trigger covered for safety. The little spur on the brown holster locks the pouch in on the draw. I put the spur on the back of the black holster. JW

And here's another idea I was playing with. Its a work in progress/test, and will get refined for a future project. Still pretty comfortable, although the belt loop didnt work as well as I had hoped. It will get a standard loop and lose the sweat tab on the back when I build it again.

Work in progress...nothing fancy, but so far has been a good working holster
