Hi,

I will watch this thread with a lot of interest ....

I have a Pedersoli Scout rifle that was tentatively okayed for a ML competion, but they said that I would eventually need to get rid of the ramped (a la '73 Winchester) rear site ...

So I am looking for a fixed PC buckhorn style site myself ... one that would slide into my Pedersoli without lots of filing ....

Wadd Watson: Track of the Wolf has many different styles and sizes of sights suitable for your muzzle loader, but I don't know if they have any suitable for Peddler Parson'r rifle.

Pony Express,

This simply means that I have to get off my posterior and measure the 1.) the width and height of the of the Pedersoli dado, and 2.) the height of the bottom of the present buckhorn above the level of the barrel ....

Then I can say what I want accurately to Track of the Wolf, The Possibles Shop, October Country et al .....

The cheapest route is to get the open sight inserts for the rear sight on the barrel. You do not get a lot of adjustment out of any one insert though, so you haveto get several, Brownells sells them. Smith Ent. makes a barrel mount ladder type, but they are not cheap. Tang sights mounted on stock include Marble and Lyman tang sights.

In the end nothing is cheap.
