I made an error when talking about my hat. I bought two hats this summer. One black slouch hat one from Coon Creek Old West and a tan John Ford Cavalry Hat from River Junction. I had confused the two. Jim from River Junction kindly pointed out my possible error to me in an email and I checked when I got home and I have switched them in my mind. I apologise to all and sundry.

It was my Coon Creek hat that does not have authentic details like the edge stitching or fold or the vent.

My River Junction John Ford Cavalry Hat was exactly as described. It is well made and worth the price. I have since trimmed the brim and reshaped it to a different form but what came to me was exactly what was advertised. The folks at River Junction were extremely personable and easy to deal with. I have made a few purchases from them this year and I will buy from them again.

It takes a good man to correct his errors!  Thanks Hopalong!  Looking forward (hopefully!!) to meeting you in July!

I look forward to meeting you as well. I am really up for this. Now we need to figure out how to do more locally!

That sounds like a great idea but I'm not sure my school district would keep paying me as a principal in absentia.

Oh geez, we're going to have to behave at the DOMM or we'll get sent to the principals tent. ::)

I got called to the principal's office the other day and oh did the kids think that was funny.  ;D When I told the principal that he said he'd try to be more careful how he calls me in to work on his machine.

It is a running joke in my building when teachers get called to the principal's office. The kids get a kick out of it. The call is usually followed by an "Ooooooooh, you're in trouble!" Everybody chuckles.
