Bottom Dealing Mike,

If it is a .44 Cal,, I would guess it kicks like mule!

Still, It looks like the ultimate pocket pistol.

And I would LOVE to see a video of it being shot ...
My moniker is my great grandfather's name. He served with the 2nd Florida Mounted Regiment in the Civil War. Afterward, he came home, packed his wife into a wagon, and was one of the first NorteAmericanos on the Frio River southwest of San Antonio ..... Kinda where present day Dilley is ...

I'm guessing it's a .45. Looks like the perfect excuse to buy some .45 Cowboy shells.

That is one fine-lookin' short, cutie!  I'm not a big fan of sawed-off guns (when they are VERY sawed off, that is) but I could sure make an exception for that one!  Even the rear modern looking sight!  Doc Holloday could sure have used that - 'tho he didn't do badly as it was ...

Did you do the work, Mike?  The grip reshape is excellent!

Best C&B snubbie cut-down I've ever seen!

Mike I would have to think on that ...  Lets see, it uses gunpowder, it goes boom, it gives a cloud of smoke and it puts holes in things ... Yep, sure would like to see it.  ;D

One more thing I would like to see:  Mike, talk to the powers that be and see if all your video's can be put in one place to make them easier to find.

That's a fine looking belly gun you got there BDM.  I'd say go ahead and do the movie.  Problem is, I can't view movies on my new laptop for some reason.  I'll just enjoy the remarks.

Mike, isn't this the same Remington that was featured in an issue of GOTOW? Very slick job. It inspired my own to a degree.

Here is my belly gun.  It has a shortened barrel, loading lever and web, bushed cylinder and hinged cylinder pin.  It is really fun to shoot.

I also have a pair of 5-1/2" 1858's that I shoot Frontiersman with and love them.  Since I got the 1858's working my Ruger Old Armies don't get much action.

Nice gun Lucky. I like the basepin

Yeah, I did a B-P column on this in GOW about eight or nine years ago.

Steel Horse Bailey

Nice trick with the cylinder pin, Lucky!

I normally prefer the longer barrels on my guns.  This holds true even with my 6" Python.  However, there is a place & time for nearly everything, and the BDM Remington Bulldog and the Lucky RK snubbie are two excellent variations.

John "J.R. Logan" Lay, a pard who I shoot with at SMVS (Scarlet Mask Vigilance Society) took an 1860 and made it into a shorty, much like the guns known as "Avenging Angels."  He's done a very nice job on it and has shot it as his main match gun.  I don't remember if he converted it to fire cartridges or if that was even part of his plan, but it's an interesting project.

Okay, now I'm all inspired to do my next project. recently I acquired in a trade a Remmie '58. Actually, it's an old Euroarms Remington-Beals with that authentic but annoying cramped grip frame/triggerguard that is uncomfortable even for a medium-sized hand like mine. It had been disgracefully neglected: rust pits all over, pitted barrel, broken grip, etc. It's either retire the poor thing or give it the radical treatment. This looks like just the ticket - cut the barrel down, discard the rammer, strip the finish and sand all the pits out, maybe nickel-plate it, get rid of the grips and cut down the grip frame - it looks like a lot of work but at the end of it I'll have a fun little belly gun.

LOL, Mike, still have the issue and read it from time to time...

Nice work on that Remmie Mike !  Now I am gonna have to make one like it...kinda reminds me of my Hopkins #6 in 41 rf...
nice little gun but the rounds are pretty costly!

it has original elephant ivory grips and cycles like new.

I cant wait to watch your Remmie Bulldog Bark !
