Good looking straps BB.  I have been working on my first loops (mine on slides for cartridge and shotgun) and my loops do not come near the quality of yours.  But then I am a newbie.  Anyway, you give me a goal to achieve someday - loops that look like Boothill Bob's.

They are functional, just not as neat and good looking as yours.  Will post pic when I finish the shotgun project.  Have completed cartridge slides for my grandson and daughter.

Bob, here you go - two pics of the slide for my daughter, Sterling Sage, and one of the slide for my grandson, Wasabe.  Not great pics, but they are what I have for now.  Wasabe's was my first slide and my first ever attempt at loops.  Sterling Sage's was my second on both counts.  Mistakes in both.  Most notably, I stamped the G in Sage backwards and did my best to correct.  And there I thought I was being so careful.  I am now working on shotgun slides.

Slowhand Bob

Some of the most interesting ones I have seen actually incorporate Rifle, shotgun and one mag pouch onto a strap.  Not sure but I think Jack Houston(?)  might have made the version I saw and it was designed exactly for the needs at the loading table, spares are best addressed from a belt or slide.  Yours is pretty close to there, add a tight loop/strap that will accommodate a loaded magazine on the block and your there.

Boothill Bob

I will do that slowhand. I looked at the one that you mean and I like that.

Wolf Tracker expressed my sentiments exactly.
You need to learn to like all the little everday things like a sip of good whiskey, a soft bed, a glass of buttermilk,  and a feisty old gentleman like myself
