"Why don't she write?"

Woops, quote is not from the time period here, which is a very underrepresented but cool time period.

Actually, you're not all that far off, James, if you're talking about the "Dances With Wolves" quote. The American Plainsmen Society covers the period of 1840 to 1865. You're right when you say it's a cool but underrepresented period, though. I'm betting you'd fit right in, too.

Will be posting some pics soon of the Solingen Bowie knife I have been reworking into something more resembling a bowie from the 1840's-50's.  Maybe that will "liven" things up a little!

I am, Joe!  Looks like I might be "employed" here in our own State soon...at least that's what I'm hoping for!  Would like to be able to make it to Kansas in September for our get-together up there.

Tascosa Joe

Good Luck.  I think I am about to retire/retire.  We will see though.  Come to Greenville and shoot if you get the chance.

Jake, is that your Patterson in your avatar? I know you were wanting one a while back.

Jake MacReedy

No, Caleb...I sure wish it was, though!  Still planning on doing that to a Pietta Paterson, when I can afford to get one.
