Looking at a possible rebarreling project for the winter months, but can't seem to find any Win 92 compatible barrels in .44 magnum.  Any ideas where they are hiding?  Is it possible to order a new one from any of the current manufacturers (Armi Sport, Miroku, Winchester, etc.)?  Would very much appreciate some suggestions...

I believe Rossi now makes their '92 chambered in 44 Magnum.

If you go on the "Rare Winchesters" site, you can see an original that was converted to 44 Mag.

These are the only ones I've heard about in 44M.

Thanks sir.  According to Nate Kiowa Jones, the Rossi barrels are metric and won't fit in the Winchester standard receiver.  The Armi Sport (Chiappa), Miroku (Japanese) and Winchester factory barrels are all the .80" X 22 TPI barrel shank (and all would work!), but can't seem to find a dealer that will sell just the barrel.  Numrich has been out for a while...at this point, was hoping someone had one from the 70's or 80's laying around in their garage or closet.  Would a custom barrel maker be able to do these?  Just wonderin'.  Much obliged.

Chiappa makes a 44mag '92, so I'd try calling their USA office (don't have the number but you can find it).  They do warranty work and repairs there so they do stock at least some parts.  Whether they will sell you one I couldn't say, but worth a shot.

I have a new in the white 44-40 barrel for an original with all the correct markings but it can't be re-chambered to 44 mag. I can make a barrel to fit your rifle if you can't find what you need.

John Taylor, Is the 44-40 barrell you have for a 92 rifle or carbine? I have a SRC with the barrell pretty well shot out of it so may be interested in the one you have.

Green Mountain sells barrels with the proper winchester taper. You'll need to do your own threading, dovetailing etc.

It is a rifle barrel with all the correct Winchester markings and dovetails, in the white.
I'm also a dealer for Green Mountain and can fit one of their barrels to your rifle.
