Because I can buy direct from the manufacturer and pick it up at the dock, I can retail 8lb. DD CP Media Kits for $49 including the Ceramic Porcelain and the tumbling solution concentrate.  That runs $6.12 per pound including enough of the tumbling solution concentrate to mix up 16 gallons of ready to use mix.

P.S.  DD CP media kits are entirely manufactured right here in the USA.

Dick, thanks again for the advertisement of the media that you sell.
Believe we discussed previously here your 1/8" 30degree angle cut ceramic porcelain rod 11/32" long media is a materially larger and an entirely different product than the 2mm or 3mm triangles Kramer sells. Example 2mm = 0.07874 inches verses 11/32" that converts to 0.34375 inches or 4.4 times bigger.  The ID of a 25-20 is 0.276 so a 1/8" diameter would be unlikely to ever clean the inside of the 25-20 case

Thought you folks might have been interested:  You know I use the 2mm ceramic triangle media ...
I have a 100-200-300 yd ground hog match on Sunday, so I prepared 50 R-P cases for the match.  Have an additional 150 SUPER-X and Rem-UMC cases so I decided to full length size/decap - anneal - chamfer the OD & ID of the mouths plus give them a bath in the rotary tumbler.  Needless to say they came out sparkling both in and outside.  The 2mm's were inside the majority of the cases so with clicking brass together, the media dropped out.  Worked even faster filling the cases with water from the facet and then just shaking them

These brass are 220 Swift with a mouth ID of 0.220.  The 17 calibers might be out of the question but this means I can clean any 22 up to maximum caliber brass with the 2mm media.  ;D

John Boy I love the little triangles they work Great. Now if we could just purchase smaller amounts at a little / well a lot less cost I would be ordering up some tomorrow.

Maybe like a 10 lb box of it .

Thanks for everything !!

I might buy a pound (if that small quantity is still available) and mix it in with my batch of DD media.  It might give me the results I'm hoping for!

Mason, in all honestly, 2 lbs of 2mm media will last a life time for our needs.  I run double and single barrel rotary tumblers and hardly ever dip into my inventory for more.  And FYI, this media starts working its best after 2 or 3 tumbles per the Manager at Kramer

JB how many pounds would you say I would need for a Thumler "B" of that 2mm ceramic media? WM

Wildman, Your B is a 15 lb tumbler.  I use a double and single drum Harbor Freight ...

Each drum is 3 lbs.  I weighed the wet media I have in one of the drums - 10ozs.
So we're looking at 50 ozs = 3.125 lbs ... say 3 lbs.   Then an extra pound for inventory.  Probably when/if Kramer sells the 2mm in smaller lots - would think possibly 5 lbs is the smallest they would sell to reloaders

Looks like Kramer Industries has 2 x 2 mm triangles of ceramic media in smaller quantities now. 5, 10, 25 and 55 pound boxes. Still kind of expensive, but doable. For info: http://www.kramerdepot.com/TBM/PC.html
