Well I went to my club shoot this weekend and it was 36 and windy when the shooting started and 50 when it ended and Boy those guns don't like the cold. Not one shell would eject with out ramming it and the rod was stiff too boot. This is a warm weather sport (or at least if it wasn't windy not so bad). But have it beats a warm day at work any day.

So is there any thing I can do to winterize the boys so they run better.
Till we meet keep the sun at your back and the wind in your face.

Back in the day dad basically ran his dual 50 cals dry to keep from freezing at 25 - 30,000 feet.
Suggest a very light coat of light oil.  Ballistol or Mineral oil might work or something like marvel or 3 in 1.  Kroil might also work

Take some lube (whatever ya want ta use) put it in a small dish, set it in yer fridge or freezer. If it doesn't "set up" or get stiff it will probably work in yer gun  in cold weather. WM
