It shoots good! It has the brass Navy grip. I have been shooting a mild 8gr.Unique with 250 fla tip. It is accurate with a slow roll for recoil. Same load I shoot in a SA colt . Uberti beefed up the metal in critical areas bigger than the other lesser cal.  I won,t hot rod it and the above load is 830fps. Thats all she needs factory specs. Smooth action and super tight specs. Cyl-gap is so small you can barley see it!

I've got the same one. Shoots great. Of course, mine needed a small washer in the arbor hole to help with the cylinder gap issue.
But terrific little shooters, eh?

I shoot black powder in everything now but you should be able to get some good light shooting loads using Trail Boss in the Cowboy 45 Special brass.  AJ even sells an ultra light weight bullet but I have not tried it, 160gr rnfp bullet is what I use for an easy shooting round.  My early pair is in .44 cal and has the long barrels, they do seem a bit large and heavy for someone who thinks they should relate to the feel of an 1860 Colt.

Gonna try some 200 gr. flat-tip with 8grs. of Unique.  Just fired 50 250grs. with 8grs. of Unique . Very mild &accurate load hits point of aim. Gun getting smooth with use. Very well made Uberti!

8grs. with the 200 gr. cowboy flat tip shoots great with alot of clover leafs and no-kick! I think this is the load very nice shooting load!!!!   Hits point of aim on sites.

Well .......... With a .45, if you really want to have fun .......... and be a "Gamer"  ;) like me ;D you'll want to go to Adirondack  Jack and get some of his Cowboy 45 Special cases and a batch of his 130Gr "Barnstormer" bullets and shoot them with 3.8Gr of Tightgroup.  Almost no recoil and very accurate.  In my .45 Schofield chambered Open Tops, the combination shoots with less recoil than most .38s :D  Try 'em, you'll like 'em.
