Howdy All,
Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Charlie. I've been shooting for a while now, did my share of hunting & target shooting in Upstate NY, and now I find myself living in Tucson, and very interested in CAS...been trying to contact a few Arizona clubs by web links on their site, but so far there's been no reply. Is there anybody out there in CAS City that are involved in a club in the general Tucson area? This and other forums have answered most of my newbie questions, and now I just want to try my hand at an actual meet, instead of looking at my guns and wondering whether or not to drive out to Tucson Mountain shooting range and pop away at the same targets i did last week and the week before. If anyone can point me in the right direction, I'd surely appreciate it.
Thanks

Charlie,

NCOWS Does not have an official posse in Arizona (yet).  If you want to attend a western shoot and get some hands on experience, you'll need to find a SASS or Western 3 Gun club.  I know both exist in the Tucson area.  Both of those groups have a different focus from NCOWS, but you will get the general idea of wesern action shooting.  Google "SASS" or "Western 3 Gun" to find their respective web site and locate a local club.

Y'know, we used to do the same with folks from New Jersey.
Does anyone make the distinction between NYC, where I wouldn't venture for a week's pay (i don't have the required hipster points), and the REAL New York, where there are vast woods, pretty big mountains, lakes, farms, orchards, etc? I remember greeting a friend from Florida at my home, his first time in the northeast, he looked around at the trees, stacked cordwood, mountains on the horizon, cows and horses in the neighbor's field & said "this CAN'T be New York!"
Thanks for making me smile and remember, Wildman...I ain't been back there in a long time!  ;

We have somewhat the same problem here also, everyone thinks all of Nebraska looks like I-80.  Although it's really not that much of a problem, it keeps most of the undesirables moving right on through.
