I purchased it from the Gun Library at Cabelas a few weeks ago as I'm trying to get some shootin' irons together and join SASS. The salesman ::) claimed it was a Uberti but I've been told its more likely an ASM. Its chambered in .38 S&W (stamped on cylinder, not barrel or frame) so I'm thinking it may have originally came with 2 cylinders (possibly .38 colt). Its a type 1 as the firing pin and v-notch rear sight are made into the conversion ring. Top of barrel is stamped "Navy Arms". Who built 'em?

Hello,

Your picture is rather small, could you possible make the file larger so that the detail of the revolver can be seen?

John.

It was taken with a camera phone so I don't think theres much I can do with it.

The Manhattan Navy pics you posted in another topic enlarge okay when clicked.  Were those taken with the same camera phone?

I took those with a regular 35mm before hitting the road again. Not sure whats wrong with these. I can view them larger before posting them.

It looks like the old defender conversion kit from the '80's, that someone mounted a loading gate to.
That is just my thought on this.
