You all have never been nothing but good to me.  When I started out in CAS you all offered me the benefit of your subject matter expertise over and over again.  I love my Remmies and I appreciate all they help you all offered obtaining and using them.

I lost one of my revolvers at the base of Bloody Hill during the 150th Anniversary Reenactment of the Battle of Wilson's Creek this past weekend.  There was so many people there .....  I doubt I will ever see that gun again.  This leaves me with a very slightly used Kirst Kornverter for an Uberti Remington 1858.  I've listed it in the Classifieds, but I wanted to make a special offer to you SCORRS Members.  If somebody on here buys that converter, I will offer a SCORRS Discout of 10%.  You can have this thing for $200.00 shipped to you.

What say you all?  That's a special offer to SCORRS Members, ain't it?

Ozark Iron John,
sorry to hear about the loss of your pistol.
If the Wilson's Creek battlefield site is the one near Springfield, MO., I was able to take a leisurely tour of the site late last October. Very cool place to visit and walk around in. Especially like watching all the trout in the Creek from one of the bridges.    :-)

OIJ at the base of Bloody Hill while Hunting Lyons in Missouri.

We attacked Bloody Hill and were repulsed four times. After the third assault, one regiment broke to run. I encouraged them to reform. When the General ordered us to Advance, they would not go. I slipped Bucephelus between them and asked them to follow me. As I navigated around the fallen, I looked back and they were coming right along.

John, . . how about you just get another Remington Revolver ?   Or is that what you intend to do with the proceeds of selling the converter ? . . . . . . I have one of those converters and do not need a second one.

Beware the man with one gun, he probably knows how to use it.

I have been selling off some of my CAS stuff, sir.  My nephews are not willing to ride and shoot with me.  I've accumulated a lot of stuff so that they could enjoy this hobby and they do not want to participate.  Therefore, I'm selling off some of my CAS stuff.  When I lost the revolver, I realized that I had two converters and hardly ever shot 'em.  I figured now would be a good time to let go of one of them.

Thank you for asking.  It certainly is a thought.

I looked hard at a pair of stainless Remmies on SASS Wire today.  W/ converters.  They guy would swap me out of my Uberti Winchester 1873 if I'd let him.  I ain't decided yet, but ... I don't think I'm going to do it.

In an even more serious attempt to sell this Konverter, I have dropped my asking price to $200.00.  I will still offer SCORRS members a 10% DISCOUNT.

Reply to this thread with SOLD and you can have it for $180.00 Shipped.  You can't beat that price.

I'd be on it but my new armies are Piettas.  I don't think the Uberti one will fit.
Not sure what the differance is.

There is a difference.  This is for the Uberti Remington 1850.  It is five shot model.  I am not selling it because it is broke or worn out.  I am selling it because it is safe queen and I do not need it.

Uberti cylinders are shorter than Pietta cylinders.
Pietta cylinders can be made to work in Uberties but not vice versa.
