Is there any place to get period style bandanas? I've been looking around but most places only carry the silk "wild rags" or the small cotton bandanas. Anyone know if a good place to find period looking ones in cotton? I've seen quite a few pictures of guys at matches or living history events, hell even some movies (I know, I know..) but can't for the life of me find any for sale

St. George

Try 'The Fort' in Lincoln, Nebraska, and 'River Junction Trading Post'.

There are a couple of threads on this and the 'NCOWS' forum dealing with just this topic, so look through the 'back pages' to see who's been suggested as sutlers.

I second The learned Dave's recommendation.  All of the handkerchiefs are based upon surviving artifacts with direct provenance to actual soldiers during the War Between the States.  I purchased three handkerchiefs, including the Lt. Gordy handkerchief, who fought with the 3rd Geogria Cavalry.  He was from Chattahoochee County, right next to Marion County, my boyhood home.  I am distantly related to his family.

The handkerchiefs are top quality and you will not be disappointed.
