A question for those of you using the 7.5" 1872 Open Top:  What style of holster do you use?  It seems to me that one made for a 1860 cap&ball would have the right fit, as opposed to one for a Colt SAA, but I'm not sure. Thanks in advance for your replies  :)

I have a beautiful pair of California Slim Jims for my OTs, made by Big Ed of San Pedro Saddlery... check 'em out www.sanpedrosaddlery.com

Sounds good to me :)  I think I'll go with one in a crossdraw.  BTW How do you like your 1872 Open Top's?

MT...
I very much appreciate the Open Top replicas for what they are... seemed to have a problem with pierced primers until I went to Winchester primers and dulled the firing pins just a smidgen... but they point beautifully and are as accurate as they can possibly be, and have "classic" lines. BTW, I prefer the Navy grips...

My Open Tops (like my Schofields), however, seem to languish loved--but unused-- in the safe. I just  seem to be unable to NOT shoot my Colts  ;D

Joss,

Thx for that url. I have been looking at rigs costing much more. The quality looks good and with the price of the belt...the whole deal for $60..00 is the best I've seen! Thx again sir.
