Props are coming up quite a bit so tell us about the best props that you have seen.


There are a couple of places that I shoot that have whole towns built up.  Way COOL!

Gallows are neat..especially functional ones.

Out houses can be a lot of fun.

One place that I shoot used to have a HUGE fort.  One time we shot 15 pistols rounds, 10 rifles rounds and about 16 shotgun rounds fromt there.  Moving from one end to the other and shooting through windows and portholes.  ;D

Same place had Indian teepees set up and you had to run into them from the back and shoot out the front.

Anything moving is fun!!  Horses that have motion, bandits that move in and out of windows, outlaws that move behind bales of hay, Stage Coaches or buggies that sway, etc.  i.e. anything I can blame my poor shooting on! ;D

Love the flying soda cans too! ;D

One of the shoots I go to has a horse that moves while you're shooting from it, You have to rock your hips with the movement of the horse to keep your guns steady, while I was shooting from this horse, one of the Lady shooters remarked "Dang...if He moves in bed like He does on that horse, I'm takin Him home"
That is without a doubt my favorite prop... ;D

Major Sterner that smacks of shameless self-promotion. ;D

At both clubs I'm a member at we have lots of props and make judicious use of them at our matches. All except for one, "Mongo". Those of you that went to the Mule Camp Shootout saw Mongo, the big SASS marshal target. That prop weighs about 400 pounds and has to be tied to a tree at the back of the range by a log chain to keep it from falling and killing someone.

There was a bar we'd go to ever now 'n again when we'd finish an evenin' shift whut had one them mechanical bulls.  If there was sum way ta stop it from doin' ah 180, that would be challenge!

We have a mine, with a moving ore car, and an entrance shaft.  Lot's of shooting (mainly shotgun) from the ore car, and then 3 different ports of different shape in the entrance shaft.

These are the props that Cherokee Charly is painting for their two day shoot on Oct. 30.  "Guns of Autumn" in Gainesville, GA.

We have the technology

it's the buck or the up down motion unless you strap a saddle to it.. Which could be done also.
