Well, Saturday - watched movies till the baseball came on.

Sunday - Packed up to go to a 3 Gun shoot at my club. Got up at 0530, picked up my pard who was going with me, stopped for breakfast, got to the range on time and found the shoot was postponed cause of the holiday weekend. Drove my pard back home, made it back to my place, unloaded everything, and then cried over wasted gas.

Monday - Slept in, watched the baseball game on TV, and not much else.

Would have loved to go to a dove hunt, but the season ain't open here yet.

Saturday - Power washed the roof of my house cause the home owners ass-ociation said I had "roof algie"  Worked on loading blocks that night.

Sunday - drove 130 miles each way to a shoot wit the Cavalier Cowboys.  First time shootin there.  Nice club, great pards but too far to do on a regular basis, cost me $42.00 in gas alone but it was worth it....I somehow mannaged to beat the local duelist in his own yard, that's only happed once before this year.  Great guy...we also shoot agin each other at West Point.

Monday - worked on loading blocks, had my kids over fer a little BBQ, played with my 8 month old grandson.  After they all left, worked on loadin blocks.

Marshal'ette - if ya like doves, ya need to come ta my house, you could shoot them out he kitchen winder with a BB gun.  Usually about 20-30 of them fat little things in my back yard....Trina likes ta feed the birds and them doves sure like ta eat.

Marshal'ette,
There's about 25 of them little suckers out there right now.  Yep, they taste pretty good.  A buddy of mine at work hunts and cooks them.  He uses them in a gumbo type of thing.  I have to admire you for hunting.  I couldn't shoot an animal unless it was hurt bad or dying anyway.  Now people, that's another story....

Scattered Thumbs

Saturday went to the toy store pick up my new .36 1858 Army, and saw something that got me thinking. I'm in trouble again.  ;D

Sunday went to practice with the P08. (100 miles to the shooting range and back)

Joyce (AnnieLee)

My weekend was planned about a month ago, so I sucked it up and paid the $46 and change for a tank of gas.

Saturday was spent at the Maryland Renaissance Festival. I took Will and a friend of his. They wandered, played games, oogled the swords and gerls, while I shopped. Found a new way to put my hair up, spent too much money (it's amazing how much stuff there can be used for CAS), and came home dusty and happy.

Sunday was spent at Cavalier, shooting and hanging out with the ne'er do wells. (About 115 miles round trip).

Yesterday I picked up the fixed string trimmer, did chores around the house and yard, and put a roof on the new shed.

Now I'm back in the cube where I can relax!

I work for Budget Car Rentals as a driver.  We are now in our busy season.  My pay period for the next check started on 2 September.  Less than a week later I had 40 regular hours and 16 hours of overtime. As of yesterday I have 80 regular hours and 31 hours of overtime.  By the end of the pay period this coming Friday, 9 September I will have accumulated 80 regular hours and 55 hours of overtime.  I've been a busy cowboy!  Doing double shifts on a daily basis!  My next check on 16 September should clear a grand!

I have to work every darned weekend and that puts the kibosh on shoots...BUT...I'm taking the weekend of 24/25 September off and I'm going to Colorado for a shoot with the Northwest Colorado Rangers in Craig. An hour and a half drive North of Grand Junction.  I presume I'll get the bottom of the barrel spot on the score sheet?  But then....maybe not?  I'll file a report with pictures here...when I get back.

Stump Water

The NC state match was this weekend and Cammile and I got roped into working it.

The match is a "show-up-and-shoot" match.  ROs and spotters are provided on each berm (and they reset targets).  All the posse does is work the loading and unloading tables and pickup brass when time permits and if they want it.

So my "weekend" started last Tuesday.

Tuesday: Took a half-day off and help set up.

Wednesday: Took a half-day off and shot through the first six stages.  There were only three of us shooting the late afternoon shoot-thru shift/posse so it was fast and furious.

Thursday: Side-match day.  Shot the last four stages in the late afternoon and worked the other six stages for the "shoot-all-ten-on-Thursday" shoot-thru shift/posse.

Friday: Main match day 1. Ran six posses through berm one... stages 1 & 2.  Friday night good time/banquet.

Saturday:  Main match day 2. Ran four posses through berm one.  Tear down.  Awards.

Sunday:  Recup.

Monday: Recup.

Cammy took 3rd place LT in the main match and won the Ladies speed pocket pistol, derringer and SxS shotgun side matches.  8)

The wheels fell plumb off of the Stump wagon. ::)
