I thought about going by this store and haggling with them a little about this gun.  I know this store is a little on the high side anyway....but this is WAY over priced

Even the suggested retail isn't that high.

Anywhere I go on the internet asks a maximum of $1200.  I figured you could haggle for it between $900-1100

They can ask $1500 if they want,...Look at Gun Broker  and other sites for local shops might find another at a lot better price.....You could find an original rifle cut to a carbine for that too i believe............

They're free to charge $2000 for it "if they want"   But whether somebody is willing to pay is another story.

Typically, in my experience, most gun dealers usually knock off about $100-200 off the suggested retail when pricing their guns.

I'd rather not get an original, I want a modern made gun that is new.  You get what you pay for.  I want something that can safely be used, is not abused, is safe and will last.

The problems with buying on the internet are 1) you can't examine the merchandise, 2) you can't offer to pay cash and haggle with them, 3) you don't have the social atmosphere you do in a gunstore, 3) you have to get them to send it to some local dealer so they can charge you extra for that

There's a NIB one on Gunbroker right now with a Buy It Now price of $1200.  Beats the heck out of $1600!

I saw that. That guy out of Corpus has been trying to sell it for like a month now.  The bids don't go higher than $900 and and he won't lower his reserve.

Yes 1200 is better than the overpriced one at collectors.  BUT you can get one for 1200 off Dixie Gun Works...but then you have to consider shipping fees and what it would cost for another dealer to recieve it for you.  I like $1000 better
