Does anyone know about where to find plans to make a reenactor' 1862-65 belt/R hand crossdraw holster and cavalry sword leather?

Since I figure that someone will have the plans, I am going to give a big THANK YOU right now !

As Willie used to say. 'Therein lies the rub'

I want to do this myself  .....other than the plan for a flapped cavalry holster, the belt is a standard 15/8ths wide.

Actually , fairly easy pickings if I just could find a plan for a cavalry flapped holster.

I like the way he did the flap on this one,and it works very well. It's for my long barreled 58,the one in the back with fringe he did for my converted 58..I wish like heck i could get out more and use them..Godbless Ned Buckshot! :)

Not sure of the bona fides but Jim Simmons used to offer some pattern packs that might have been what you seek,  uuhhhh cept fer the saber sheath.  My guess would be that most CW and post era swords would be sold with at least a cheap replica scabbard?  My next delimma would be in telling you how to find him, he used to go by something like Ettowa(?) Leather.  I have not seen him on any of the boards in quite some time now.  I rarely get out to the shop any more but I will try yo remember to look for anything on him or his plans when I can make it happen.

Wadd,

For your flaped holster you may wish to buy one from David Carrico, take it apart and that would give you your pattern.

I only shoot to support my reloading habit.
