Howdy folks! The surprise Birthday gift my dear wife gave me finally made it out to the range! I shot 250 gr. bullets over 35 gr. fffg Goex. The revolver performed flawlessly! I had been reading quite a few posts about how Schofield's have binding issues after a few cylinder loads of BP. I figured the binding issues would be similar to my Remington replicas, so I was not to worried. I'd just clean her up a bit between stages.
I decided before going to the range (actually a local match) that I would lube the gun before going out. I used "Lubriplate" grease to lube the base pin area. I shot 5 stages without one hiccup!! No binding what so ever! In fact, the cylinder spun as freely as it did before the shoot.
I had a few misses before I took the time to sight in proper like... This revolver is accurate, and fun to shoot!

It's the gift that keeps on giving.

Well let me be the first to welcome you to the S&W club. They sure are pretty guns and accurate too.
Ride Safe and Shoot Straight.
