I started off with a SXS Russisn Baikal, which I really liked. I Started having problems with it, so sent it off to be repaired (long, long story).

Bought a Stoeger Uplander to use until it was 'repaired'.

Two different gunsmiths kept it way past the promised time to repair it; one still has it. Both tried to sell me a new $600 Baikal.

In the meantime, I bought a Norinco Model 87 from Cap Coyote.  I enjoy shooting it, but I must remember to lever the gun with 'authority' or else the thing jams.
My moniker is my great grandfather's name. He served with the 2nd Florida Mounted Regiment in the Civil War. Afterward, he came home, packed his wife into a wagon, and was one of the first NorteAmericanos on the Frio River southwest of San Antonio ..... Kinda where present day Dilley is ...

What is crazy and unsafe about loading one round at a time in a slide action shotgun?

Having a sluggish cartridge shield allow the round to get sideways resulting in the primer contacting the extractor during chambering.  A particularly nasty, and dangerous out of battery explosion is the result.

Not theoretical, has happened several times to '97 shooters who fail to maintain their guns.

Finally got my hands on a Pioneer SxS with external hammers which are imported from Poland.  Excellent  workmanship.

Put my Stoeger to shame.  It is now my primary.

A Belgian sxs.

I just wish someone would start making the colt revolving shotgun and, of course, the gods of the game would make a category where you could use them. I'd be a starter for that....
