... thy name is "Halloway".

BJD
I love my dogs, I'm real attached to my guns, and I'm right partial to my wife.

Joyce (AnnieLee)

Agreed, BJD, but I'd say:

"Thy names are Halloway."

:D

Yes tolerance. Something to practice.
I don't know how you can suspend or bannish someone from internet sites actually. I suppose it would all tie into the IP address. In theory what if you have two people that use the same computer? Banning is harsh if it comes down to just outlandish statements only. I can see it for cussing and porno type stuff, after all the internet isn't a rock concert or local movie theater. Not all cowboys then and now wear their hats the same way. I like the features of the ignore buttons. You see a poster that irritates you and you skip the thread. Bingo, no more irritation. Ignore buttons ignore all posts by the person you want to ignore.
I have favorites I like to see whats up with and I have some I don't care much for what they have to say.
I had a little tiff myself on another board, yeah me, one of the folks that trys not to  say bad about anyone. I thought this moderator was out of bounds. Fine, that isn't anything to lose sleep over. It hurts no one. It hurts no one. I said it twice. I do not care much for anything written or said that does hurt someone. I don't participate in that nonsense. I leave slander, conjecture and inuendos to the politicians.
Now, we that post on this and a few other boards provided by fine folks for us cowboys, pretend cowboys and practitioners of what has been percieved as the cowboy way, really should stick to the theme of these boards and keep it cowboy. Leave the mudslinging, ridiculing and stuff like that to the professionals (elected officials) and get back to being cowboy. Joking around, helping others with a CAS problem, saying a prayer for someone in need, asking about or reviewing a big shoot, that is stuff I like to get into personally. Notice I said personally, because we are all individuals and can do as we please so long as it hurts no one, abides by the rules, laws and common sense.
All this voting and suspending and such just doesn't do it for me. Probably few care what I care, but I always have the option of not reading or in other words turning and walking away.
IP addresses are flexible. I change mine often for security reasons, because my wife uses our only PC for business. Although there are a lot of folks that know me and have shot with me, I could still have an alter ego and actually be someone else if that was what I wanted. The internet and a PC is a phenonomen that you can sit there and write all kinds of stuff and not really be like that at all in real life. You can still read between the lines. Maybe some stuff is a cry for help, who knows? I am no phycologist, not even sure if I spelled it right.
Now before I get off my soap box, I would like to urge that all parties in these recent fracases just cool off and let's get back once again to the good old days ( just like we pretend we are still in ) and talk about stuff like we used to. Things like, Hey! I just got a 73 and it shoots straight. :)

Marshal'ette Halloway

Thanks everyone for the kind words.
And you are exactly right Doodyville Dude. The Golden Rule is what it is all about.

But .. heck it's nothin'.

Tolerance isn't hard to have with a great bunch of people like you all here in Cas City..

Marshal has been trying to get me to post and "show who I am" in here for well over a year now..
and has done nothing but sing the praises of all you good folks here in CasCity that he calls his second family.
But I prefered to help him with everything in the background..cause I am not real crazy about being the "newcomer' in things.

I will tell you this.
I am so sorry that I didn't jump in here sooner to get to know you all...
Guess I was a bit shy..(ya'll believe that?) **Didn't think so**
I am having fun with everyone that I have met and interacted with so far...
And even though we have a few bar room brawls and gunfights occasionally..
So what?? Can you imagine how dang boring this town would be without a bit of a ruckus from time to time?
Why it would give the Marshal so much time on his hands that he wouldn't be fit to live around.

Seriously.. without getting all mushy and totally carried away,
I am slowly starting to feel like a part of things.

Now if I can just get used to shooting those Ruger Vaqueros better than I do my semi automatics
and my new PT92 stainless steel /gold 9mm Taurus. ..( that I wanted and whined for ..and that my husband bought for me)
**thinking to myself***Maybe he won't have to sit in that "Time Out Chair " after all..*****
Then I'll be ready to see how much sand is in a timing hourglass, when I shoot my first cowboy stage.

(Now admit it...Isn't it a beauty?)
