Tan-kote says that it is a finish but it does not say if it is a satin sheen on no gloss at all. What does it look like after application?
God is fluxing me which is good but it is not fun.

Its kind of semi gloss on it. I've got Tan-Kote on this rig, and a layer of
skidmores.

Which do you put on first the tan-kote or the Skidmores. Also, I have heard people here refering to Skidmorebut when I look it up I see a leather cream and a beeswax waterproofing. To which are you refering?

Thanks

I put on tan-kote first, often I'll begin with a layer of extra Virgin oliv oil, just remember that it will darken the color some.
I refer to the leather cream. Got a sampel from a gent on this forum, and now I'm stuck on it  :)

This one has 3 coats of Tan-Kote over EVOO.

The EVOO was applied and let dry for over 2 weeks, the Tan-Kote was put on heavy using a wool dobber and immediately wiped down with an old T-shirt leaving only a light cote. Each cote was left to dry overnight and repeated as above.
It makes a nice finish. IMHO ;)

Best just for holsters and sheaths,or can you use it on other leather projects..Wonder what it would do on the leather wrapping on my dreamcatchers?
